Blog#3
I didnt really have any reaction just that i'm amazed that he eluded the police and vigilantes for so long without getting caught. "He stood looking at that tiny square of white as though gazing down into the barrel of a gun." This is the most emotional quote in book 2 because when Bigger Thomas sees the white spot on the map it's as if someone is pointing a gun at him, he knows that they have trapped him like a helpless rat.The three books are titled this way because it's what happens in Bigger Thomas life through out the first book he feels fear of getting caught thus it was titled FEAR.

Mary Gets Murdered :(
Bigger Thomas from the book Native Son by Richard Wright didn't intentionally kill Mary Dalton in my opinion. He returned to the Dalton's home with a drunk Mary that couldn't stand upright for more than a few seconds. He decides to walk her up to her room so she could get some rest and so she wouldn't wake everyone else up with her stumbling. He finally gets Mary to her room and starts feeling her soft swelling breasts and smells the rich scent of her hair but he suddenly hears the door creak open and at the door is Mary's mother Mrs. Dalton. Mary tries to mumble something out loud when Bigger covers her mouth with a pillow to shut her up and not be discovered by Mrs. Dalton but he doesn't realize that he was slowly suffocating Mary. Once Mrs. Dalton leaves the room Bigger loosens his grip on the pillow and uncovers Mary's lifeless body. Bigger decides to dispose of the body by dumping it in a furnace, the head didn't fit unfortunately so he proceeded to sever the head. Bigger killed Mary accidentally because he panicked at the thought of getting caught and losing his job. If I were Bigger Thomas I would have just faced the consequences of getting fired instead of killing poor drunk Mary.
